Meet Dr. Spence
Dr. John V Spence, MD MS and his expert team of nurses and techs are here to lead you to the best health through specialized integrative and regenerative medicine approaches. Everything we do regenerates you. We want you to feel your best and to guide you on your journey to feel more youthful as well as help with reversal of abnormal metabolic processes that result from living a life of constant known and unknown exposures that, literally, gum up the system.
Dr. Spence received his Bachelors in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Spence attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he received his Masters in Biology focusing on parasitology. After completing his graduate studies, he received his Doctor of Medicine from Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherland Antilles. Dr. Spence is board certified in family medicine and is a certified wound specialist provider.
He spent his first eight years after residency as an attending emergency room physician. Due to physical limitations from multiple childhood foot surgeries, and fate, he moved into wound care and hyperbaric medicine. He has always chosen practice settings that allowed him to fix problems and not just treat symptoms. He knew early on that the symptom treating model of medicine was reactive and began to study more proactive approaches to health and longevity.
Over the past eight years he has traveled from coast to coast on many occasions to seek out and gain knowledge through mentorships and classes with the groundbreaking physicians in functional, integrative and mitochondrial medicine. There are no residency programs that teach these groundbreaking ideas and methods currently. Such programs are certainly on the horizon as the hard work of the pioneers in this field is becoming well-known as are the results of their practice.
He looks forward to helping you on your journey to feel and perform the way you were meant to. He will tell you that he continues to learn more everyday and is very excited about it.
